PROCEDURE:
- Pre-disperse pigments in the oils in the phase A to achieve a homogenous slurry (use shaker or homogenizer if necessary), add Phase B into Phase A with moderate mixing while heating to 85°C.
- Disperse gums in phase C in water with a vigorous mixing while heating to 85°C, mixing until homogenous gel forms, then add Phase D to Phase C with moderate mixing.
- Add Phase A+B into Phase C+D with moderate mixing. Homogenize the batch at ~55°C.
- Cool the batch down to the ambient temperature with moderate mixing.
