Ampoule/caviar in Gel

  1. Prepare 1% calcium chloride solution and mix with stir bar. Then slow down stir bar mixing to low speed (note, slow speed will allow formation of perfectly round and more stable ampoules).
  2. Using plastic pipette (3mL graduated, 7mL) start dropping drops of gel into slow mixing CaCl2 solution from a height of about 24 inches, mix for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  3. Immediately pour solution into an empty beaker, using a strainer/drainer to capture the ampoules.
  4. Gently rinse ampoules in deionized water for 20 seconds.
  5. Remove excess water by touching bottom of drainer with a paper towel.
  6. Put the ampoules in a jar containing the gel formula SC-US-17-34324-128, to suspend and stabilize the ampoules.
