Hormone/Endocrine disruptors: Are substances that can interfere with endocrine (or hormonal) systems. The disruption of this system can cause tumors, birth defects, and developmental disorders. Aka. hormonally active agents, endocrine disrupting chemicals, or endocrine disrupting compounds
Eco-toxicity: Harmful to the environment and ecosystems. Mainly due to the ingredient being toxic or Non-biodegradable
Carcinogen: Substance known to cause Cancer.
Allergen/Sensitizer: Causing allergic reactions or irritation to the skin
Toxic to Humans: A generally broad category that includes substances that can cause long-term effects. It can include substances harmful to the immune and lymphatic systems, central and/or peripheral nervous systems. Or other major organ systems such as the gastrointestinal (liver), cardiovascular (blood) or renal (kidneys) systems.
Toxin-free: not regulated by a governing body such as the FDA. Is created without any ingredients that could be questioned on the safety to humans.
Non-toxic: Also unregulated, defined as products that do not produce personal injury or illness to humans when it is inhaled, swallowed, or absorbed through the skin.
