Procedure for Anticavity Toothpaste
- Weigh ingredients in advance.
- Mix Phase 1 ingredients.
- Phase 2 – disperse the cellulose gum into PEG-12. Then, add the remaining ingredients.
- Combine Phase 1 and Phase 2 with high shear mixing at 1700 rpm for 30 minutes.
- Add Phase 3 ingredients to combined Phase 1 and Phase 2. Mix under vacuum for 20 minutes.
- Stop mixer. Add Phase 4 ingredients and mix under vacuum at half speed for 10 minutes.
