PROCEDURE:
- Slowly disperse carbomer in water under vigorous mixing until homogenous.
- Next step is to premix Phase B ingredients. First, add Eumulgin® CO 40 and Cetiol® C 5 together. Apply heat to facilitate mixing. Reach temperature 40° C. Solution will be translucent. Add the rest of the Phase B ingredients.
- For Phase C, neutralize Ultrahold® Power with the Aminomethyl Propanol. Add Luviskol® K 90 Solution to the neutralized Ultrahold® Power and mix until homogenous. Add the Phase B mixture to the Phase C mixture and mix until homogenous.
- Add the Phase BC mixture slowly to Phase A and stir until you have a homogenous product. Adjust pH to 6.50-7.00.
