Description
Luviskol® K 30 Solution is a nonionic vinyl pyrrolidone homopolymer aqueous solution mainly used as a film former, but also as a thickener. Readily soluble in water and compatible with almost all anionic, cationic and other non-ionic cosmetic polymers. Also compatible with Carbomer-type thickeners and other crosslinked polyacrylates for gel-type applications. Ideal for use in water based applications where a high degree of clarity is required in the finished product. For use in products with a strong hold and high viscosity, e.g. hair gels and hair mousses. Can be used in the formulation of certain creams, both with an oil base and with an oil-free base.
Used in hair gels, particularly wetlook gels. Possesses lubricant and binding properties. Offers hold. Improve mouth feel of mouthwashes. Also used as a binder in denture cleansers.
